What are the safety rules at the Local Shooting Range?

What types of firearms are allowed at the range?
The Purcell pistol range in Casino allows rimfire and centrefire pistols up to .357 magnum.
Do I need a license to use the shooting range?
Normally yes, however, any fit and proper person can try shooting if they can successfully complete a P650 form. This is an excellent way to try out the sport to see if it interests you.
What are the operating hours of the range?
The Mayleigh competition shoot occurs the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. It is recommended you arrive by 11:30, as sometimes the competition starts earlier than the normal 12:30. There are also other shooting competitions that occur at other times during the month.
Are there rental firearms available on site?
Yes, we offer a variety of .22LR rimfire revolvers and a semi-automatic pistol. Ammunition can also be purchased to suit these pistols.
